Edinburgh ended on an AMAZING high! Packed out room and had Kate Copstick in the audience to review our show. She gave us a four star review and is adding us to her “One to watch out for next year” list.
Then for a 5 hour drive home, one hour power nap and three cans of Red Bull (comedians catnip). It was off to the Four in Hand Pub for a “Cash For Kids” Fundraiser. The gig had a fairly rowdy crowd and we had some technical issues but this gradually turned in to a brilliant gig. I also met the best Adam Sandler lookalike, ever!
Last night we had such a tough show, We only had 11 in our audience, I think this is a result of our own cockiness, as our previous shows were full, with little flyering effort so we didn’t even bother at all, the people that did wander in were not prepared for what was coming we are after all the, CUSTARD CHUCKERS, (Google it) Normally I don’t do rude comedy but for this show I do so everyone is prepped for what is coming. But this show had sweet old people in and a mum with her son, so I was just nice Steve, It was ok for me, however Nathan AKA “The Custard Chucker” found it really tough.
Tonight is another gig, and informing a potential audience what is about to go down, Plus tonight I’m doing a spot so I’m doing my cheeky set. 😆
What a blinding night! our firs gig had standing room only!
Highlights of the day was, Shouting of Tom Stade, And his reply was to turn around as point at us saying “Hey,,,,I don’t know you guys!
We finished the night going to the late and live gilded balloon, Where I was actually recognized by famous comedian, Patrick Monahan!! we had a good chat about me still doing that Bomb Disposal thing!
Well people, I’ve arrived in Edinburgh, the sun is shining, all I need to do now is find the rest of the crack up crew do a bit of prep and then seek out a few shows to get in the spirit of things, then come 20:15 I will be approaching the mic for our first Custard Chuckers Comedy Crack Up Edinburgh Special!
People I have a plan, I’ve entered one of my old army videos into a competition and if I win I shall donate half the money to Help For Heroes. Help by clicking on the picture below and vote!!
Well is turns out that After Dinner Speaking is just like Stand Up Comedy, I had a great time and so did the crowd.
Custard Chuckers Comedy Crack up Edinburgh Preview, Miskin Theatre, Dartford was last night, and by all accounts it went well, The Custard Chucker filled my shoes as MC and did an excellent job, Joe rocked the house with his beat boxing masterclass!! Jack was in his element with all the students, and last but in no way least, guest to the show was Jenny Beake, She opened the show with her keyboard comedy talents!! I wont be missing out on anymore shows as there is one more preview to go, and that’s a Sunday (I don’t look for bombs on a sunday) Then its off to that there Edinburgh festival!!! 😆
So gutted I cant be at this one!! but the one and only Christian Elderfield is steping in for me! I’m sure the guys will smash it as always!!!
I will be Frankie’s MC at The Jekyll & Hyde/The Crypt @ 13:50 on:-
